Localized Social Marketing Leader Taps Winter to Help Scale Rapid Growth

Winter will help shape the strategy that will continue to scale the rapidly growing company that works to help multi-location brands manage their localized social marketing.

Doug, a two time graduate of MIT, receiving an MBA from the Sloan School of Management and an MS in Engineering, is a serial entrepreneur who sold his first company, Objectiva, to EMC Document Sciences in 2004. Coincidentally, Doug’s attorney on that deal was none other than SOCi’s CEO, Afif Khoury. In fact, Afif continued to represent and counsel Doug as he founded and formed Seismic Software, Inc., a leading end-to-end sales enablement solution that increases sales productivity and marketing effectiveness.

Since its inception in 2010, Seismic has secured $179 million in funding, grown to more than 700 employees across San Diego, Boston, Chicago, Durham, New York, London, Paris, Sydney, and Melbourne, and is now valued at more than a billion dollars. Over the same period, Afif has gone on to start SOCi, Inc. which in short order has grown to more than 150 employees and is is a two-time honoree on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies in America.
