How to Claim Your Listing on Yelp

Yelp is an essential platform for multi-location brands. In just a few clicks, consumers can learn everything they need to know to make a decision about whether to visit a business, including what real people think about the products or services the business offers.

Before you can manage your local listing on Yelp, you’ll need to claim your business. Claiming a local listing on Yelp is free. All you need to do is follow a few simple steps.

4 Steps to Claim a Local Listing on Yelp

Step 1: Search for your business by name at business.yelp.com or by using the free Yelp for Business app. If your business name doesn’t appear in the drop-down box, you can head directly to the link that says “Add to Yelp for free.” Once you’ve entered your business information and clicked on the link in your confirmation email, you’ll be ready to claim your local listing.

Step 2: Visit your local listing on Yelp and click “Claim This Business.”

Step 3: Create a Yelp for business owner’s account or login to the account you have already established.

Step 4: Follow Yelp’s prompts to verify your business.

Once your local listing has been claimed, you’ll be able to optimize your profile to increase conversions and engagement on the platform.
